[In each time we have, in al-Mustafa- the Chosen One- a hopeTill when Isra' comes, he would make us advance nightly] 1:28From divan of Sharab al-Wasl, Imam Fakhreddin tells us that some righteous ones have share in ‘Isra’ of the Beloved al-Mustafa [PPBUH], so, let’s go to the first verse of Sura al-Isra to get to know this matter. Let us get to know first the Shari'a explanation, then let us get to know, the knowledge of signs and interpretation, and the knowledge of reality.First: the Shari'a explanation: such as ibn Kathir explanation which says about this verse [Glory be to Allah who made His Servant proceed, at night, from the inviolable Masjid to al-Aqsa [the farthest] Masjid that We have blessed around it to show him some of Our signs, for, verily, He alone is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing] al-Isra' 17:1. The Almighty glorifies Himself and exalts His stature, for His ability to do what no one can except Him, as no God but Him [who made His Servant proceed at night] means: Mohammad [PPBUH]. [at night] means: in the cover of night, [from The Inviolable Masjid] means: Masjid of Mecca [to al-Aqsa Masjid] means: Jerusalem which is Ailia’, the origin of prophets since Ibrahim al-Khalil, as they [PPBUT] all, were gathered for him [PPBUH] there, then he [PPBUH] led them in prayer in their place and home. This indicates that he [PPBUH] is the greatest Imam and the advanced boss. Prayers and peace be upon them all.The Almighty's saying [that We have blessed around it] means: wiyh plants and products [to show him] means: Mohammad [PPBUH] [from Our signs] means: the great, such as the Almighty saying [he has seen from the great signs of his Lord] al-Najm 53:18. We will mention from that what Sunna reported in Hadith of him [PPBUH]. The Almighty saying [for, verily, He alone is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing] means: the All-Hearing of the words of his servants, the believer and the unbeliever, the believing and denying, the All-Seeing them, so he gives each one what he deserves in the worldly life and hereafter. The Hadiths that were mentioned about al-Isra': the narration of Anas ibn Malek: Imam Abo Abdullah al-Bukhary said: Abdel-Aziz ibn Abdullah reported that Soliman-ibn Bilal- narrated that Shoreik ibn Abdullah said: I heard Anas ibn Malek saying: the night in which the Messenger of Allah [PPBUH] was proceeded at night from al-Ka'ba Masjid: there came three persons to him before it was revealed to him while sleeping in the inviolable Masjid, the first one said: which one is he? The middle one said: He is the best of them, and then the last one said: take the best one of them, that was the night and he [PPBUH] did not see them again till they came another night as he saw them with his heart, while his eyes sleep, but his heart does not. That is how the prophets are; their eyes sleep, but their hearts do not. They did not talk to Him [PPBUH] until they carried him and brought him near Zamzam well, then Gabriel took him from them. Gabriel slit open from his lower part of the neck [PPBUH] to lower part of his chest, until he emptied his chest and interior. Then he washed it with Zamzam water by his hand until he purified his interior [PPBUH]. Then he brought a washtub of gold with a vessel of gold, inside it, filled up with faith and wisdom. He filled his chest and the blood vessels of his throat with it then closed it. He ascended with him [PPBUH] to the nearer heaven and knocked a door from its doors, the people of heavens called him saying: who is this? He said: Gabriel. They said: and who is with you? He said: Mohammad is with me. They said: Was he sent for? He said: Yes. They said: He is welcomed and gracefully received. The people of heaven rejoiced for him. They do not know what Allah wants to do for him [PPBUH] in earth until the Almighty informs them about it.He [PPBUH] found Adam [PBUH] in the nearer heaven. Gabriel said to him [PPBUH]: this is your father Adam, so the Prophet greeted him. Adam [PBUH] replied him saying: Welcome! Hello! My son, what an excellent son you are! While he [PPBUH] was in the nearer heaven, he saw two steady rivers, so he said: (what are these two rivers O, Gabriel?) he said: these are the Nile and Furat. Then he went more through near heaven. There was another river on which there was a palace made of pearls and aquamarine. He put his hand in it and it was Musk with a great smell, he [PPBUH] said (what is this O, Gabriel?). Gabriel said: this is al-Kawthar that your Lord kept for you. Then he ascended to the second heaven, the angels said to him as the first one… who is this? He said: Gabriel, they said: and who is with you? He said: Mohammad [PPBUH], they said: was he sent for? He said: Yes. They said: Welcome! Hello!. Then he [PPBUH] was ascended to the third heaven and they said like the first and second time, then he was ascended to the fourth heaven, they said like before, then he ascended to the fifth heaven, they said to him like before too, then he ascended to the sixth heaven, they said the same, then to the seventh heaven and they said the same too.Every heaven has prophets; he [PPBUH] mentioned them. The narrator said: I have remembered from them Idris in the second one, Haron in the fourth, another one in the fifth, but I did not memorize his name, Ibrahim in the sixth and Musa in the seventh with preferring of Allah’s words. Then Musa said: O, Lord I did not think that anyone is ascended above me. Then he [PPBUH] was taken above that, to where no one can know but Allah, the Almighty, until he came to the utmost lote-tree. Lord of Glory, The Almighty, approached then hanged down, till he was at the distance of the string of two bows. Then Allah inspired to him: fifty prayers are imposed on your nation every day and night. Then he [PPBUH] was taken down till he reached Musa, who held him back and said: O, Mohammad, what did your Lord entrusted to you? He [PPBUH] said: (he entrusted me with fifty prayers every day and night). Musa said: your nation can not do that, go back to your Lord to and ask him to take it easy on you and them. The Prophet [PPBUH] turned to Gabriel as if consulting him about that, Gabriel gestured him: as Yes, if you will. So he took him up to the Almighty and said, while he was still in his place (O, Lord, make it easy on us, as my nation cannot do this), The Almighty decreased ten prayers for him.He [PPBUH] returned to Musa who held him back and kept making him [PPBUH] go back and forth to his Lord till it became five prayers. Then Musa held back him after it became five prayers and said: O, Mohammad, by Allah, I tried to persuade my people, Bani Israel, for less than that, but they weakened up and left it, and your nation is weaker in their bodies, hearts, sights, and hearing. So, go back to your Lord, to make it easier on you. In all that, the Prophet [PPBUH] was turning to Gabriel for advice, and Gabriel did not hate that. He took him up at the fifth time, then he said (O, Lord, my nation is weak in their bodies, hearts, hearing, so, please, make it easy on them). The Almighty said [O, Mohammad], Mohammad [PPBUH] said (at your command, with happiness). The Almighty said: [the words do not change with me, like what I imposed on you in the Mother Book, every good deed equals its ten likes. It is fifty in the Mother Book and five on you]. He [PPBUH] went back to Musa who said: what did you do? He [PPBUH] said (He made it easy for us, He gave us for every good deed, its ten likes). Musa said: By Allah, I tried to persuade Bani Israel to do less than that, but they left it. So go back to your lord to ease on you again. The Messenger of Allah [PPBUH] said (O, Moses, by Allah, I have been ashamed of my Lord for going frequent times to Him). Then Musa said: So, descend with the name of Allah. He [PPBUH] woke up in the inviolable Masjid. This is how al-Bukhary narrated it in the book of [at-Tawheed] and narrated it in "The prophet's attributes" [PPBUH] from Isma'il ibn Abi Uwais from his brother Abo-Bakr Abdel-Hamid from Soliman ibn Belal in the section of Shari'a.Second: the knowledge of signs and interpretation: Imam ibn Ageeba says: Some Sufi people said: The Almighty only said [made His servant] and did not say: made his Prophet or Messenger, to indicate to that whoever his slavery completed, would have a share in al-Isra'. Yet Isra' with the body is special for him [PPBUH] only. However al-Isra' with the soul can happen to saints, according to the degree of purifying the soul and being absent from this sensory world. So their thoughts and souls ascend to what is beyond the throne, wade into the seas of Mightiness and the lights of Kingdom. Everyone has according to his abandoning and acquiring merits. Yet Isra' was favored with the night because it is the space for worshiping and connecting. So Allah related the giving of the praised rank to him [PPBUH] on worshiping at night like the verse - al-Mahshy said that - The Almighty said [Glory be to Allah who made his servant proceed at night]. al-Wartagbi said: that is; the Almighty exalted above the hint of directions and the high places and what the creatures may imagine that when the Almighty made his servant reach beyond the beyond, he was in a defined place. i.e. do not imagine that bypromoting His servant to the kingdom of heavens that he was ascended to a place or he was in a place, as the worlds and places are less than a mustard seed in the valley of His ability, that is; in the sea of His Glory, do not you see his [PPBUH] saying (the world, in the right hand of the Most-Gracious is less than a mustard seed). The closeness and highness is from Him. He exalted himself above the illusions of the likeness, as they imagined that he [PPBUH] was taken to the definite place, that is; Glory be to He Who is exalted above this accusation. End of his words.Al-Qushairy said: the Truth, Almighty, sent him [PPBUH] so that people of earth can learn worshiping from him, then he raised him to heaven so that the angels [PBUT] can learn from him [PPBUH] the manners of worshiping, the Almighty said [The sight never deviated nor was yet overbold] al-Najm 53:17, that he never turned to the right nor the left, never wished for degree or honor, he was free from any request or need at that night. End of his words.I say: because of that, Allah, Almighty honored him [PPBUH] with the seeing from which his Prophet Musa [PBUH] was prevented, when he asked for it. So maybe good manners guided them to leave the asking. Al-Wertagby said: he was ascended from seeing His [Almighty] deeds and miracles to seeing His attributes, and from seeing His attributes to seeing His self. He made him [PPBUH] see the scenes of his beauty, so he saw the Truth by the Truth. There he became attributed with the attributes of the Truth. Then his body became his soul, his soul became his mind, his mind became his heart and his heart became his secret. So, he saw the Truth with his whole existence, as his whole existence is mortal. So he became an eye from the Truth’s eyes, Almighty, then he saw the Truth with all eyes, heard his speech with all hearings, and knew the Truth with all hearts. End of his words. Also al-Wartagbi Said about the Almighty's words [to al-Aqsa Masjid] that the reason of beginning the ascending by going to al-Aqsa Masjid, is that there is the great miracle, of the bliss of lights of his appearance to the prophets' souls and bodies. Also there is Sinai Mountain, Zeta Mountain, Al-Musaisah, and the Maqams of Ibrahim, Musa and Jesus. In these mountains, there are places of revealing the Truth Himself, that is why the Almighty said [we have blessed around it]. End of his words. That verse of Imam Fakhreddin expressed the sheikh's [AAH] waiting, every time, for Isra', hoping that the Beloved al-Mustafa [PPBUH], would make him ascend to the higher ascendance. So buckle up my brother, and strive in your behavior and getting closer to Allah the Almighty, to be one of those who acquired a share of Isra' of the Beloved al-Mustafa [PPBUH], may Allah makes us from them, Amen. And until we meet again next issue, ISA. Peace, mercy and blessing be upon you. Prayers and peace be upon Sd. Mohammad. Written by Mohamed MaqbolTranslated by Aseya El-Khouly
