Great Ancestors' Books
Since we are constantly in need for the non-distorted books of our predecessors, and since some irresponsible groups had intentionally or unintentionally printed distorted books and spread them either in the markets or on the internet, there aroused an insisting need to find reliable sources for the books and knowledge of the virtuous predecessors. So, we are nominating to you some sister sites that choose accurately every book they present. This way you can easily find the books and texts of our predecessors which some people tried to hide and conceal, but Allah will complete His guidance, even if biased people dislike. We will mention some of the books, from these sites, that sheikh Fakhr Eldin quoted from in his books and lessons. More information about these sites are in the library page in our main site.
A book from the library:Books of Imam Ibn Kathir:
Interpretation of Ibn Kathir
The Interpretation of the Great Qur'an known as the Interpretation of Ibn Kathir is by Imam Abo-al-Feda' Ismail ibn Omar ibn Kathir, the Qurashian the Damascusian, known as ibn Kathir, who died 774 H. It is the first edition to be compared to the Azhar issue and to the complete issue of the great library of Egypt known as "Dar al-Kutob [the house of books]". The interpreter explained that he is interpreting Qur'an with Qur'an then with Sunna. He quoted the saying of Imam ash-Shafie'y: "Everything that the Prophet [PPBUH] ordained is from what He understood from Qur'an". He also quoted the the Hadith: (I was given the Qur'an and as much knowledge with it). This book is characterized with giving the general meaning of the verse then collecting its Qur'anic synonyms and whatever the companions or the followers said about it. Sometimes the book mentions whatever is connected to the verse of rules and cases. The researchers did not change anything about this issue. The book’s link in Al-Turath site
Beginning and End
The Bigining and End [al-Bedaya wal-Nehaya] is by Imam Abo-al-Feda' Ismail ibn Omar ibn Kathir, the Qurashian the Damascusian, known as ibn Kathir, 701-774 H. In this book the author talks about the the beginning of creations, starting from the creation of the Throne, Heavens, Earths, whatever they contained, and whatever between them of Angels, Jinn, and devils. Then he talks about Adam [PBUH], the stories of the Prophets, the days of sons of Israel, the days of Ignorance [before the Prophet], until the prophecy ended with Prophet Mohammad [PPBUH]. He talks about his life enough to satisfy the longing hearts, then he talks about the era after the Prophet [PPBUH] up to the author's time. So he talks about the riots, the fierce battles, and the the signs of the end of the world. Then he talks about the resurrection, the judgment day, paradise, and hell. In all that he gives evidence of Qur'an, Sunna, and traditions. He does not mention Israeli traditions except what is accepted by the scholars and not contradicting Qur'an of Allah or Sunna of His Prophet [PPBUH]. He also took from them what details a shortened event or what gives names to an unnamed that was mentioned in our Shari'a. He mentioned all that as excess knowledge not as needed one, as al-Bokhary narrated from the Prophet [PPBUH]: (Narrate from me even as much as a verse. Talk as you want about sons of Israel. Tell Hadith about me, but never lie about me, as whoever lies about me fully deliberately, he will take his position in Hell). The researchers did his best in verifying the Hadith. However in some places in the book he talked about weakness with his own opinion or others'. We say its their opinion and they are not to be blamed for it, but it is not to used, as what we really need is the opinion of the author himself.
