كَيْفَ نُفْشِي الْخَبِيَّ إِنَّا كِرَامٌ   * * *   وَنَزَلْنَا ؛ مَقَامُنَا الأصْطِفَاءُ

How could we expose the hidden, we are honourable * and we settled; our position is the choice

لَوْ أَجَابَ الْمُحِبُّ أَلْفَيْ سُؤَالٍ   * * *   عَنْ مَدَى جُودِنَا وَكَيْفَ السَّخَاءُ

If the lover answers two thousand questions * about the range of our generosity and how is much giving

مَا اسْتَطَاعَ الْوَفَاءَ وَالْقَوْلُ فَصْلٌ   * * *   مَنَحَ الْمُصْطَفَى وَتَمَّ الْعَطَاءُ

He couldn't satisfy and the saying is adjudicative * the Chosen has provided and the awarding is being complete

نُورِثُ السِّرَّ للِصَّبيغِ وَمِنَّا   * * *   لِبَنِي عُرْوَتِي يَكُونُ الثَّنَاءُ

We bequeath the secret to the hued and from us * to my band adherents be the gratefulness

جَمَعَ اللَّهُ فِي فُؤَادِيَ عِلْماً   * * *   لاَ يُدَانِيهِ فِي السَّحَائِبِ مَاءُ

Allah has accumulated in my heart such a knowledge * that is not neared the clouds' waters

أَإِذَا عَادتِ الْهَواجِسُ تَهْزُو   * * *   صَحَّ مَا قِيلَ إِنَّهُ لَهُرَاءُ

If it is that the obsession return mocking * then it is true what was said, it is prattle

أَفَلَوْ خَيَّلَ الْغَرُورُ لِقَوْمٍ   * * *   دَخَلَ الْقَوْلِ حَقَّرَتْهُ السَّمَاءُ

If it is that conceit has illuded some people * to confusion of speech, undervalue by heavens

بِعُقُولٍ عَقِيمَةٍ وَقُلُوبٍ   * * *   غَفَلَتْ إِنَّمَا الْقُلُوبُ هَوَاءُ

By bare minds; and hearts * that been inattentive, that the hearts are empty

قُلْتُ فِي مُحْكَمِ الْفَرَائِدِ نَظْماً   * * *   قَلَّمَا يُحْتَذَى وَفِيهِ الِشّفَاءُ

I stated in exact singles, a composition * rarely can be imitated and within it is the cure

وَأَبَى الاِبْتِدَاعُ إِلاَّ مِرَاءً   * * *   فَتَسَاوَتْ مَرَابِضٌ وَحِرَاءُ

And; the origination refused, but arguing * so equalised fences and Hira

لَعِبَ الْوَهْمُ بِالرُّؤُوسِ فَمَالَتْ   * * *   فَتَغَشَّى الَّسعَادَتَيْنِ شَقَاءُ

The illusion jerked with the heads, and they diverted * so, the two prosperities are shadowed by misery

غَفَلَ الْقَوْمُ وَالتَّغَافُلُ شَرٌّ   * * *   خَسِرَ الْبَيْعُ بَعْدَهُ وَالِشّرَاءُ

The people became inattentive, and being inattentive is evilness * after which makes loss the selling and buying

يَهَبُ اللَّه مِنْ لَدُنْهُ عُلُوماً   * * *   وَشَرَاباً يَؤُمُّهُ الأَنْبِيَاءُ

Allah grants from his specialty knowledges * and a drink that is repaired to by the prophets

رَفَعَ اللَّه لِلْمُتَيَّمِ قَدْراً   * * *   فَبَدَا فِيهِ يَرْكُضُ الأَوْلِيَاءُ

Allah raised the position of the extreme lover * so, the friends of Allah joged into that

نَفَعَ اللَّهُ بِالنَّفَائِسِ قَوْماً   * * *   فَغَدَوْا إِخْوَةً وَعَمَّ الإِخَاءُ

Allah benefited by the treasureables some people * so they became brothers and brotherhood overwhelmed

ظَعَنَ الظَّاعِنُونَ مِنْ كُلِّ فَجٍّ   * * *   فَهُدُوا وَالْعَظِيمَةُ الْعَصْمَاءُ

The travellers traveled from any col * so they were, by the Great the Excellent

مَثَلُ الظُّلْمِ وَالتَّظَالُمِ عِنْدِي   * * *   كَخَبِيثَيْنِ جَفْوَةٌ وَالْجَفَاءُ

Comparing of injustice and complaining of injustice, here * is like two evil-mindedness and abandonment

يَقَعُ الْقَوْلُ فِي مَوَاقِعَ شَتَّى   * * *   فَخذُوا سِرَّهُ فَمَا الدِّينُ دَاءُ

The saying occurs in different places * so take its secret as the religion is not a disease

فَإِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَدَيْكُمْ سَبِيلٌ   * * *   فَالْكِتَابُ الْكَرِيمُ فِيهِ الضِّيَاءُ

And; if you get no way * then in the holy book is the light

وَهَذِهِ آيَتِي وَفيِهَا مُرَادِي   * * *   وَلِمَنْ أَمَّهَا يَكُونُ الْهَنَاءُ

And; this is my miracle and within it is my objective * and for whom comes to it, comes the happiness

وَعَدَ اللَّه فِي الصَّحَائِفِ وَعْداً   * * *   وَلَدَى وَعْدَهُ يَكُونُ الْوَفَاءُ

Allah promised in scriptures a promise * and to His promise there be the fulfilment

رُفِعَ الذِكْرُ للْحَبِيبِ وَآلٍ   * * *   وَكَذَا الإِصْرُ عَنْكُمُ وَالْبَلاَءُ

The reputation was raised high for the beloved and family * and also the burden from you and distress

دُهِشَ الْغِرُّ وَالْكُؤوسُ دِهَاقٌ   * * *   فَرَميَ غَيْرَهُ وَطَاشَ الرَّجّاء

The ignorant got surprised as the glasses are filled * so he accused the other; and miss the target who accuse me
