Sayyidan lem tazal wa ghayruka zalou

سَيِّداً لَمْ تَزَلْ وَغَيْرُكَ زَالُوا   * * *   وَجَمِيعاً إِلَى جَنَابِكَ آلوُا

A Lord, yet while others have vanished * and all of them to your closeness have vested

وَكَرِيماً وَرَحْمَةً وَإِمَاماً   * * *   وَعَظِيماً وَلَيْسَ فِيكَ يُقَالُ

And; generous, mercy and leader * and; great and not to be derogated

=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=

وَأَمَانٌ بِغَيْرِ حِصْنِكَ وَهْمٌ   * * *   وَهُدىً غَيْرُ مَا تَقُولُ ضَلاَلُ

And; security other than your stronghold is illusion  * and guidance other than what you say is going astray

=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=

وَأَمَانٌ بِغَيْرِ حِصْنِكَ وَهْمٌ   * * *   وَهُدىً غَيْرُ مَا تَقُولُ ضَلاَلُ

And; security other than your stronghold is illusion  * and guidance other than what you say is going astray

فَإِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ بِحِصْنِكَ أَمْنِي   * * *   فَإِلَى مَنْ تُرَى يُبَثُّ سُؤَالُ

And; if it were not that my security is by your stronghold * to whom should my beggary be dispersed

وَجَزِيلٌ عَطَاؤُكُمْ وَسَخِيٌّ   * * *   وَبُلُوغُ الْكَمَالِ فِيكَ مُحَالُ

And; your offering is great and generous * and the achievement of completeness within you is impossible

وَجَمِيعُ الْكِرَامِ مِنْكَ نُجُومٌ   * * *   وَهُمُ بِالتَّجَلِّي عَلَيْكَ ظِلاَلُ

And; all the honourable from you are stars * and they by the manifestation on you, are shades

وَخَلَتْ قَبْلَكَ الْقُروُنُ وَخَلَّتْ   * * *   وَجَمِيلٌ عَلَى يَمِينِكَ خَالُ

And; the centuries before you had passed and vacated * and beautiful is the beauty spot on your right

فأَجِرْنَا فَإِنَّ نُورَكَ فِينَا   * * *   هُوَ ذَا الْحُسْنُ أَنْتَ فِيهِ مِثَالُ

So, protect us, your light is within us * this is the beauty, you are its model

=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=

وَأَدِمْ عِزَّنَا بِوَصْلِكَ نَحْيَا   * * *   فَلَنَا فِيكَ عُرْوَةٌ وَحِبَالُ

And; perpetuate our dignity; by your connection we live * as we have by you a clasp and ropes

وَتَخَلَّلْ شِعَابَ قَلْبِ مُحِبٍّ   * * *   فَإِذَا كُنْتَ قَلْبَهُ فَنَوَالُ

And; permeate the cols of  a lover heart * and if you are his heart; then it is granting

فَإِذَا الشَّمْسُ مِنْ ضِيَاكَ خَفَاءٌ   * * *   وَإِذَا الدُّكُّ بِالْجَلِيلِ جِبَالُ

So then, the sun for your illumination is in hiddenness * and so flattened by the exalted are the mountains
